UDPATE: Salina Police have identified the body of a deceased individual found in a yard on Sunday morning.

Salina Police Capt. Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that the deceased body is that of 38-year-old Cody Espinoza, Salina. The man who had no record of permanent address.

Forrester says that police do not suspect any foul play in Espinoza’s death.

Authorities were called to 675 Jaran at 9:30 a.m. Sunday to the report of a deceased individual lying in the front yard.

ORIGINAL: Police are investigating after a body was found in the front yard of a home in Salina early Sunday morning.

The body was discovered in the 600 block of Jaran at around 9:30 in the morning.

A witness told KSAL News the body was under a tree in the yard. The victim’s shoes were off, and beside the body.

Police tell KSAL News they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
