No one was hurt after a car caught on fire Thursday afternoon on I-70.

Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan tells KSAL News that around 1:30pm, 58-year-old Kevin Brown of Abilene was driving a 2000 Dodge Neon westbound when he notice the engine was overheating.

Smoke began pouring out from under the hood as he pulled over on the Saline River Bridge. Moments later the car was fully engulfed in flames.

A crew from Rural Fire District #7 arrived to extinguish the blaze. The vehicle is listed as a total loss. There were no injuries.
