How technology helps or hinders the nation’s election process is the latest topic of discussion during Kansas State Polytechnic’s Civic Luncheon Lecture Series.

“Voting and Technology: How Trustworthy are Electronic Voting Systems?” will be presented Thursday, Nov. 12 from 12 to 1 p.m. on the Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus in the College Center’s conference room. The event is free and open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch during the presentation.

Beth Clarkson, an aerospace statistician from Wichita, will cite the statistical anomalies she has found in electronic voting machines in Kansas and will lead a broader conversation of the safety of the election process with technology involved.
