Salina Police are investigating two residential burglaries that may be connected.
According to Captain Paul Forrester the two break-ins took place in northeast Salina within a mile and a half radius and in a 90-minute time frame.
Forrester tells KSAL News that around noon Thursday, a 27-year-old man returned to his apartment and found his glass sliding door damaged a black male in his living room. He told officers the suspect pulled a ski mask over his face and ran out of the dwelling with a laptop computer.
The suspect ran down Fairdale and got into a silver car and drove away.
Loss and damage is listed at $600.
An hour and a half later, officers were sent to the 100 block of North Estates after a couple of 21-year-old brothers and a female friend found a suspect in their home. The burglar grabbed a number of pieces of jewelry, an PlayStation 4 game system and an Xbox game system before exiting out of a basement door.
Loss and damage in the case is listed at over $750.
The victims on North Estates said the burglar was wearing blue jeans and a blue hoodie. Investigators believe the suspect entered the home through an unlocked door.
