A lawn mower engine is stolen from a storage shed in southern Saline County.

Deputies say a 20-horsepower engine was taken from an outbuilding at at farmstead in the 11000 block of S. Soderburg Road sometime between 9:30am and 4:30pm on Friday.

Thieves apparently cut the lock on a gate to gain access to the property.

Total loss and damage is listed at $801.
