Police add a charge of aggravated robbery to a Salina man, already in jail for a suspected murder.
According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, investigators arrested a man and a woman for a robbery made at gunpoint in April – and allege that 25-year-old Joel Heil took part in the stick up on April 18th.
Heil was arrested as a “person of interest” in connection with the disappearance of 27-year-old Kristin Tyler.
The missing persons case turned into a murder investigation when Tyler’s body was found on May 9th just west of Salina.
Police say Heil, along with 31-year-old Max Hahn and 38-year-old Angella Helko, robbed two female acquaintances outside a residence in the 600 block of N. 13th.
Two purses with ID, a tablet computer and $700 cash was taken.
All three were charged with aggravated robbery.
