Deanna Ruth Dawson, 56, of Salina, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, peacefully with her family by her side at Salina Regional Health Center. She was born in Salina on May 23, 1966 the daughter of Ruth and Wesley Beichley, and was a lifelong resident.

Deanna graduated from Salina South High School in 1984 and was the owner of the Continental Hair Salon. She graduated from Salina Hair Academy in 1985 and has worked in the industry for over 35 years. She was loved and adored by many clients who always left the shop happy. Deanna had such a big and incredible smile that would light up a room, and a laugh that you could hear from miles away. She was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church and remained a faithful servant throughout her life. Deanna was a die-hard KC Chiefs fan and loved tailgating and attending games at Arrowhead with friends and family. One thing we loved was her crazy superstition of wearing the same outfit with her Chiefs koozie and blanket every game day. She adored her twin son and daughter Jaden and Jacelyn, and loved attending all of their school and athletic events. No matter if the events fell on the same time or day, she would do anything to make it work. Some of her favorite hobbies were playing cards (especially pitch), dancing, working out, relaxing in the pool, binge watching reality TV, and enjoying girls’ night. Deanna shared Jesus’s love and compassion with the act of hospitality, during Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

Deanna and Josh were married on September 19, 1992 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, and were married for 29 years. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Wesley Beichley. Deanna is survived by her husband, Josh Dawson, her twin children, Jaden and Jacelyn Dawson, her 3 brothers Dave, Dan, and Doug Beichley, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday, September 9, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Salina. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm Thursday evening at the Ryan Mortuary where the family will receive friends from 5 until 7 pm that evening.
