Peggy L. Tholstrup, 89, passed into the loving arms of her Savior at Presbyterian Manor Salina on October 6, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband, of nearly 70 years, Delbert L. Tholstrup of Salina, her parents, Rueben and Ruth Johnson, and her brother, Donald Johnson, all of Scandia, Kansas.

Peggy is survived by her three sons, Richard (Christy) of Spring, Texas, David (Janice) of Little Mountain, South Carolina, and Spencer (Susan) of Pearland, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Nisha (Shannon) Worsham, Sean (Brittany) Tholstrup, Greta Beach, Whitney Tholstrup, Sarah (Neil) Ostenfeld, Courtney (Austin) Phillips, Caitlin (Keith) Hearon, Erin (Jared) Scallan and nine great-grandchildren. In addition, she has many nieces and nephews.

Peggy was a graduate of Scandia High School and a retired real estate agent. She loved baking and was an avid card player. Her passion in life was improving life for others. She provided camp scholarships for children to attend Camp Tomah Shinga. She was very active for many years as a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, serving as Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher and WELCA president and general secretary.

Visitation will be at Ryan Mortuary from 9 to 11 am Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Graveside service and burial at 2 pm, Salemsborg Lutheran Cemetery, Smolan, Kansas.
