Sara Suzanne “Suzy” Ehrlich Seed, of Salina, died Nov. 4, 2022. She was 59.
Suzy was born Nov. 2, 1963 in Longmont, Colo., to Arthur “Lyle” Ehrlich and Helen “Lorece” Branch Ehrlich. She grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School.
On July 16, 1983, she married Joel Seed in Russell. A few years later, they moved to Salina, where they raised their family.
Suzy enjoyed crafting and had a gift for turning random items into art. She liked spending time with her family and tending to her pet chickens.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her three children: Shannon Shuler (Chris), Seth Seed (Tara), and Stetson Seed (Andrea Jackson). Other survivors include her six grandchildren: Jaylah Buchanan of Texas, Dakota and Raelyn Shuler of Salina, Jaxsen and Jexa Seed and their mother Madison Cox of Abilene, Savannah Bailey and Sami Jo Seed, Salina. She’s also survived by her siblings Pam, Teresa and John, and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Suzy often opened her home to friends and family and treated young people as if they were her own children. Those survivors include Jonah Wolf, Jason Shanley, James Wheeler, and her nieces Angela and Jessica Pozalek.
A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th St., Salina.
