Janys J. Windholz, 84, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Salina Regional Health Center with her family by her side. She was born May 23, 1938, in Salina, the daughter of Harlan and Evelyn Stamm. Janys was a homemaker and later in life worked at Alco and Target. She enjoyed camping, playing bingo, animals including her cats, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs.
Janys was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Kenny, her parents, and a brother, Kenneth Stamm.
Survivors include her son, Ben, and fiancé Rhonda Lambert, two daughters, Debbie (Doug) Bolen, Jolene Breeden, two granddaughters, Amber (Paul) Cooper, and Chelsey (Matt) Broeckelman, two great-grandchildren, Ella Cooper, and Brooks Cooper, two step grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Agnes Stamm.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 am Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in Salina with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:30 am. Inurnment will follow at the Gypsum Hill Cemetery with a luncheon following at St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
