Tyler Joseph Ritter, 24, of Milliken, Colorado, passed away on December 21st, 2022. He was born on January 27th, 1998 and is the son of Mark Ritter and Jacque and Paul Hanscom.
Tyler attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated in 2016 from Sacred Heart Jr/Sr High School. Tyler had a love and a passion for all things basketball related and loved going to KU basketball games with his Dad. Tyler’s favorite pastimes included camping, playing card games with family, and spending time with his dog Willy. Tyler loved everything sports related including memorizing players statistics and where they went to college and had a dream of working in sports communications.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Joe and Sheila Ritter, his grandparents Gene and Pat Calvert, his aunt Joan, and his best friend, Keegan Gore.
He is survived by his parents and his sister, Courtney Ritter of Longmont Colorado and many cousins, aunts and uncles and friends who loved him dearly. Tyler also leaves behind his beloved Labrador Retriever….Willy…..who he loved and adored.
His family is deeply saddened by their sudden loss but know he is at peace in God’s kingdom.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 30th from 6 pm until 8:00 pm at the Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Memorial photos and testimonials will be shared. A Mass of Christian Burial Funeral Service will be Saturday morning at 9:45 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greater Salina Community Fund in care of the Tyler J. Ritter Legacy Fund or to Sacred Heart Jr-Sr High School in Memory of Tyler J. Ritter.
