Kansas Governor Laura Kelly is continuing to promote her “Axing Your Taxes” plan.

Kelly toured a Child Start facility in Wichita yesterday and outlined her plan to get rid of the sales tax on groceries, feminine hygiene products and diapers.

The plan also includes and sales tax holiday on school supplies.

Kelly says the state’s budget can handle the tax cuts even without its current budget surplus.
