Frances Lavone Herman Wedgewood, age 97, Salina, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 16, 2023. Frances was born Dec 19, 1925, to Nina Parker Herman and Charles Herman. She, her sister, and brother grew up on their family farm north of Solomon, KS. After graduation, Frances had nurse aide training in Salina, KS, then moved to Denver, Colo to work as an aide at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Hospital where she met the love of her life, Ralph Wedgewood. They married Dec 18, 1945, raising four children and operating Conoco Service Stations in the Denver, Boulder and Aurora, Colorado area.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents: brother, Earl Herman and wife, Mary; sister, Vivian Armstrong and grandson, Todd Wedgewood. Frances is survived by her children: Sharron (Bill) Pasma, San Antonio, TX, Ralph (Wanda) Wedgewood, Salina, Ks., Francine Wedgewood, Centennial, Co., Jeanette (Frank) McAllister, Peyton, Co., grandchildren: Maralene Wagner, Andy Martinez, Chantal LimoIi (John), Justin (Desiree) McAllister, granddaughter-in-Iaw, Tamera Wedgewood; 11 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation has been chosen. The family will have a private service at Ft Logan National Cemetery at a later date. Donations can be made in mom’s honor to Wounded Warriors or a charity of the donor’s choice.
