Lyle Irwin Jilka, 63, of Salina, Kansas passed away on April 18, 2023.
Lyle was born to the late Adolph and Zelma (Glenn) Jilka in Salina on July 11, 1959.
He was a graduate of Salina Central and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture from Fort Hays State University. He grew up working at the Sale Barn in Salina where his father worked as well as helping Bill Giersch on the farm. He spent a few years with Evans Grain traveling the state collecting grain samples. Before retirement he spent many years with Great Plains Manufacturing as well as part time in the lawn and garden department at Walmart. After retirement, he worked part time for Hedville gas station.
Lyle is survived by his son Trevor of the home and daughter Taylor (Drew) Coad of Salina; grandchildren Aubree Kasper, Dax Kraft, and Aris Coad; brothers Ken Jilka of Minot ND, Robert (Linda) Jilka of St George UT, and sister LuAnn (Larry) Morris of Salina as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be at Ryan Mortuary Tuesday April 25th from 4 to 8 p.m. with family present 6 to 8.
A funeral service will be held at Ryan Mortuary Wednesday April 26th at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery on W. Pleasant Hill Rd.
