A Paola High School track coach is charged with sex crimes.

Forty-six-year-old Chad Kelsey was taken into custody yesterday and charged with two counts of rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, unlawful sexual relations and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Police received information about an alleged rape from 2022 as well as other sexual assault allegations. Kelsey has been terminated from his job.
