The help wanted sign is out at Salina Downtown.
According to the organization, director Melissa Hodges is stepping down. She announced her resignation to the Business Improvement/Salina Downtown, Inc. Board of Directors via email on October 31. Her final day with SDI will be on Friday, December 5th.
Hodges said, “I’ve known for a while that this wonderful, crazy position may not be the best fit for where I’m at in my life. This decision wouldn’t have been so tough if I didn’t love downtown, the Salina community, and, of course, SDI’s greatest asset, Penny Bettles, a great deal.”
“There are exciting new developments like the Fieldhouse and a new hotel that have the potential to really transform downtown,” Hodges continued. “My successor will have the opportunity to be part of a twenty-first century downtown renaissance.”
Hodges’ final day will be on Friday, December 5th.
