Kevin Shane Rick, 61, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023.  He was born November 19, 1961, to James John Rick and Marie Magdalene Slepicka Rick.  Preceded in death by parents James and Marie; sister Sheila Green; sister Dawn Robinson; and brother James Rick.  Survived by wife Trisha Rick; sons Joshua Hayes, Todd (Sara) Bruce, and Michael (Laura) Krug;  grandchildren Ryan, Royce, Blake, Addison, Ryder, Isabel and Diesel; sisters Colleen (Joe) Beck, Roxanne (Tony) Hornberger; brothers Shawn (Lita) Rick, and Kelly Rick; and numerous nieces, nephews, greats and great-greats.

A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Kevin spent his life in Salina, working hard to provide for his family.  His sons are testament to his dedication and he was so proud of them all.  Attending school in Salina, Kevin maintained numerous lifetime friendships.  He worked nearly 30 years for El Dorado Bus, fostering a work family of friends, many of whom also landed at Coperion/KTron, where Kevin last worked.

Kevin was known for his pool playing skills, his non-stop work ethic, and his ability to enjoy the simple pleasures of life.  He enjoyed golfing with friends, camping with family and friends, and fishing.  He was generous with his care and his smile and his humor.  A Kevin story always brought smiles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ryan Mortuary, 10:30 am Friday June 30th —  Bring your memories to share with all.  All are invited to meet directly afterwards at Blue Sky Brewery for a toast to Kevin.
