Janice Dee “Jan” Luebbert, 76, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023.  Jan was born September 3, 1946, in Salina, where she was then raised.  She was the oldest child of Gladys Irene “Sherry” and Everett Zahn.   Her siblings include Nancy Jones, Larry Zahn, Valerie Gebhardt and John Zahn.

Jan had her first daughter, Kerry Rolfe, in 1967.  Then she married Mikel Luebbert in 1973, and together they had a daughter Kristina Luebbert, in 1977.

Jan was a devoted mother, wife, and sister.  She spent summers at the lake with her family enjoying many boat rides.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Timothy, Treyton, Zoe and Phynix.  Jan was a collector of many things and loved shopping.  She also loved doing crossword puzzles and playing bingo, anytime she could.   She was an avid lover of animals, and was a member of First United Methodist Church.  If you ever asked her what her drink of choice was, it was always “Dr. Pepper!”

Jan’s surviving family includes her husband, Mikel Luebbert; daughter, Kerry Bettes and companion, Kathy Oren, Kristina Sims, and companion, Shannnon Henry; sisters, Nancy Jones and husband, Arlon, Valerie Gebhardt; brothers, Larry Zahn and John Zahn; grandchildren, Timothy Bettes, and wife Samantha, Treyton Bettes, and companion, Tyrionna Lowe, Zoe Sims, and companion Nick Tappendick, Phynix; great grandchildren, Bella Bettes and Neo Bettes; and many nieces and nephews.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Ryan Mortuary.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6, at Ryan Mortuary with Pastor Blaine Herron as officiant.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
