City officials are asking residents to reduce their water usage today following Thursday’s late-afternoon water-main break in Lawrence.

Authorities say the city is using a secondary line to re-route water while repairs are underway.

Residents are advised to reduce shower times, limit outdoor watering and vehicle washes, and hold off refilling local pools until full service is restored.
