Susan Ann Doolittle, 64, passed away on September 17, 2023 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, KS.

Susan was born on September 17, 1959 in Paterson, NJ to parents John Adolph and Gloria Evelyn (Smith) Lillman.

Susan was a kind, caring, and generous person with a strong faith in God. She was always happy to help others. Holidays in particular were a special time for Susan. You could always count on her setting an extra plate out at her table in case you had nowhere else to go. She was known as “the kind woman who took in stray people and stray animals”. Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and loved animals. Her family was her greatest joy and she always went out of her way to make sure they were taken care of and they always felt loved. In her spare time she enjoyed putting puzzles together, reading, crocheting, playing cards, fishing, gardening, and taking walks.

She was preceded in death by Gloria Lillman (Mother), John Lillman (Father), Loretta Robbins (Daughter).

Susan is survived by her husband Alton J. Doolittle, Jr.; Children Joyce Bowers and spouse Tom of Minneapolis, KS, Alton J. Doolittle, III of Salina, KS; 8 Grandchildren: Crystal Anderson and her husband Morgan Anderson, Joshua Bowers, Zackary Huurre, Meshick Bowers, Erik Bowers, Tala Robbins, Gabrielle Bowers, and Susan Bowers. One Great-Granddaughter: Isla Felicity White.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Denton Presbyterian Church; 22 County Road 56, New Hampton, NY 10958. There will be services held at a later time in Salina with inurnment of her cremains to take place in the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Salina.
