Franklin Kent Russell, 87, passed away on October 17, 2023 in Salina, Kansas. Frank was born on February 12, 1936 to John and Beatrice (Hoshor) Russell in Savannah, Missouri.
Frank was raised on a farm near Savannah Missouri. He graduated from Savannah High School. Frank worked a variety of jobs throughout his life. He sold Lely farm implements. He owned his own business RCR building oil field tanks. He retired from Exide Cooperation. Frank and his wife Betty owned and operated Natural Connections for many years. They loved traveling and selling herbs and vitamins and educating the public on alternative health.
Frank married Rhonda (Ward) in 1953 together they had 4 children Becky, Kathie, Mike, and Jill. Frank married Betty (Boller) in 1969. Frank gained two sons Robert and Dean. Frank and Betty had one child Nicole. Frank and Betty were married for 53 years prior to Betty’s passing October 14, 2023.
Survivors include: his 7 children Becky Fischer,, Kathie (Cary) Burt, Mike, and Jill Utech, Robert (Melissa) Reinke, Dean (Lora) Reinke, and Nicole (Jay) Betz, and sister Bridgett Ash.
Frank was blessed with many grandchildren. Brett Green, Tommy Crawley, Timmy Crawley, Brian Slater, Chad Slater, Mitch Slater, Wade Burt, Ashley Ballou, Michael Russell, Christine Grimes, Natasha Sears, Cameron Betz, and Cory Betz. He also has several great grandchildren that love him.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife Betty, both his parents, brothers John, William and Bill and two granddaughters Rhonda and Misty.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, October 26, at Ryan Mortuary. The funeral service will be Friday, October 27, at 3 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary.
