Mary C. Johnson, 82, of Salina, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023.  Mary was born March 8, 1941 and was raised around the Kipp area.  She graduated from Kipp High School.  Mary married Garry Johnson on June 6, 1959.  She was a farm wife and worked in Salina as a proofreader for the Salina Journal.  She later worked at Security Savings & Loan and retired from Central National Bank, all in Salina.  She was an avid flower gardener and bird watcher.

She is preceded in death by her husband Garry; parents, Glenn and Verna Leister; sister, Clarice; brother, Gayle Leister.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin Johnson (Christine) and Kurtis Johnson (Sandy); grandson, Bryson Johnson; and brother, Charles Leister.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Ryan Mortuary, with family present from 5-7 p.m.  Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2023, at Ryan Mortuary.  Burial will follow in Poheta Cemetery, 9400 E. Magnolia Road, Kipp.
