Alfred Appelhans Jr., died peacefully on November 4, 2023. He was born on June 16, 1957 in Quinter Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Appelhans Sr., stepdad, Dean Area, his sister Jacalyn DeVere and his brother Randy Appelhans.

His survivors include his mother, Thelma Rowson, his sister Raelene Mapes, brother-in-law, Ronnie Hopkins, his daughter Kesa Knopik, a nephew, Brent DeVere and two nieces, April Reed and Brandy Birdsong, along with 5 grandchildren, 2 great nephews and a great niece.

Graveside services will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina, Kansas.
