Gayle Ann Rush, 70, of Salina, Kan., passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023. She was born June 28, 1953, in Salina, to Jerry and Ruth (Breitweiser) Self.

Gayle loved the beach and collecting seashells. She was a master gardener, avid bridge player and enjoyed volunteering at Salina Regional Health Center gift shop for many years.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry, and niece, Wendy Muhlberger.

Survivors include her mother, Ruth; sons, Matthew Storrer, of Salina, and Jonathan Rush (fiancé Kiara Espada), of McPherson; siblings, Dennis Self (Angie), of Salina, and Marie Self, of Aurora, Colo.; foster sister, Debbie Elliot, of Tega Cay, S.C. (and family); and nephew, Jason Self, of Kingwood, Texas.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Salina, with burial at 2 p.m. in Naomi Cemetery, 1451 170 Rd, Glen Elder, Kan., 67446.

Memorials may be made to the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation and sent in care of Ryan Mortuary.
