A stolen car is recovered after a number of warehouses are burglarized.
According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, 3 different buildings on York Street were broken into sometime between Sunday night at 9pm and Monday morning at 8am.
Police say Frazier Brothers Construction of Salina uses the three warehouses at 1002, 1006 and 1012 York to store various items including a 2001 Mercedes Benz SL 500 sports car.
The car along with a 50-inch flat screen TV, a Gateway laptop computer, 4 welding helmets, a Hypertherm plasma cutter, .380 caliber pistol and two antique guns that were part of a wall display were stolen.
The Mercedes was recovered in the 4500 block of S. Centennial Road by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office around 8am Monday morning. The vehicle, valued at $25,000 was stuck in the mud.
Total loss and damage is listed at $3,790.
