A woman falls in front of a vehicle on the street as she runs from her assailant.
Police are now looking for a man who choked and threatened a woman with a knife in east Salina Monday night.
According to Captain Mike Sweeney, a driver stopped his car in the intersection of Eastburough and Crestview after a female in her 20’s fell in the street as she ran.
The woman told officers an acquaintance had held a 4-inch blade near her face and threatened to kill her before she gained control of the knife and jammed it into the mattress on a bed.
Police say the suspect then grabbed her by the throat, causing red marks on her skin.
The woman also had a swollen lower lip and was transported to the hospital by EMS to be treated.
