Patricia Ann Brown, 85 years old, passed peacefully in her sleep on January 23, 2024 in Salina, Kansas surrounded by prayer, love and family.
Pat was raised in Salina and attended Salina Public Schools until earning her GED in 1974 and went on to earn her Associate’s degree in Accounting and business. She later went on to be employed by Intel. Throughout her life Pat took great pride in her education, work and family. She spoke fondly of her time working for Intel which was ranked as a forbes fortune 500 company.
After retiring she relocated from Sacramento, California to return to her hometown of Salina where she reconnected with her teenage friend Erwin Brown. Shortly after on February 1, 2015 she married the love of her life. Both of their families welcomed each other with open arms and created a beautiful blended family. The years to follow were some of the happiest of her life and were a joy to her family to watch.
Pat was the matriarch of a large family that she loved with her whole heart. She was a natural caretaker who throughout her life assumed the responsibility of caring for her late mother, second husband, and brother. Gentle kindness shined brightly through her and was evident to anyone who met her. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, and she found her greatest joy by sitting around the dinner table sharing stories and reminiscing about old times. Her sweet smile and calm nature will be missed and remembered by all who had the privilege of meeting her.
She is survived by her husband Erwin Brown, her sisters Carolyn Cruce Kohlmeier, Helen Lee, Virginia Peterson, and Val Bivins, her children Billy Moore (Dana), Julie Harris (Dave), Lee Gunter (Kathy), Michael Gunter (Angelica). Erwins children, Joni Oldham (Marc), Julie Sachse (Dan), Laurie Decker (Jeff), Stephanie Sherode, stepson Jason Jones (Brenda),brother Raymond Brown, 28 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
She is preceded by her parents Helen High, and Boyd Cruce, and her brother Jack Cruce.
Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2024 at Grand Ave United Methodist Church. Salina, Kansas.
