Dennis F. Hogan, 79, of Salina Kansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Tuesday January 30 at Salina Regional Hospital.
Dennis “Hogie” was born January 19, 1945, to Frank and Mary (Noon), Hogan, in) Salina Kansas, where he graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1963. He attended Fort Hays State before he was drafted by the Army where he spent a year in Viet Nam. Upon his return, he met and married Barbara (Musser) and they had three children together, Sherrie Shawn and Steve. They later divorced.
He returned to his hometown in 1988 and married Connie S. Anderson who had 2 children April and Christopher whom Dennis loved. Together, with their blended family they have 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
During his professional career he worked at Walters Funeral Home, Everett Lumber and eventually retiring from Exide Battery after 25 years. He fulfilled his lifelong dream of owning his own business- Hogies Fishing Guide Service. Anyone and everyone who knew Hogie knew his deep passion for fishing and his fishing tales were always the TRUTH!!
Memorial Services will be held at the Ryan Mortuary in Salina on February 9, 2024, at 2 PM with burial immediately after at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
