No injuries are reported after a pilot was forced to make an emergency landing yesterday in Harvey County.

Officials say local first responders were called to the scene about three miles south of the Newton City/County Airport around midday.

The pilot – who was alone in the aircraft – reportedly told first responders he was OK after landing the single-engine prop plane in a field.

He reportedly also said his aircraft had not been damaged. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
