Terry Michael Ludecke, 75, passed away on February 13, 2024 at his home in Bennington, KS.
Terry was born on December 16, 1948 in Kansas City, MO to parents Lawrence Edward and Delores Clark Ludecke, where he graduated from Ruskin High School in Kansas City, MO.
Terry was a Petty Officer Third Class in the Navy and Navy Reserve during the Vietnam War. A proud River Rat that earned the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service and Campaign Medals, Navy Achievement Medal, SERE Patch earned during river warfare training (survival, evasion, resistance and escape maneuvers.
Terry moved to Salina in 1992 and was employed at Salina Steel until his retirement. He was an avid bowler and chess player and enjoyed both with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother: Larry Ludecke.
Terry is survived by Sons: Jason Ludecke of Bennington, KS, Terry Ludecke of Bennington, KS; Grandsons: Aidan and Riley; Sister: Patty Atzmiller and spouse Tom of Lees Summit, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Memorial Park & Greenlawn Cemeteries; 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO 64138. Full Military Honors will be provided by the Missouri Military Honor Team. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park & Greenlawn Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
