A man from Ellsworth and a man from McPherson were killed in a crash west of Salina early Monday morning.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Andrew Wolf of Ellsworth was driving a Ford Taurus, headed east on K140 Highway. For an unknown reason, he crossed the center line and made contact with an oncoming Ford F 150 pickup truck. The Taurus then slide backwards, toward the eastbound lane and the south ditch. It was struck by a Nissan Murano that was also headed east. All 3 vehicles came to rest in the south ditch.
Wolf and a passenger in his car, 24-year-old Joshua Gepner of McPherson, were killed. The patrol says Wolf was buckled up, Gepner was not.
The driver of the Nissan, 40-year-old Jolene Goddard of Brookville was hurt. She was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center. She was not buckled up.
The driver of the pickup and his 7-year-old son were not hurt. They were both buckled up properly.
The crash happened at 8:02 Monday morning on K140 highway, east of Bavaria in Saline County.
