Kansas is one step closer to banning gender-affirming care for minors.

The Kansas House and Senate both approved the measure yesterday. Senate Bill 233 would prohibit healthcare providers from performing childhood gender reassignment services for minors including hormone treatment, surgery and puberty blockers.

The measure now goes to Governor Laura Kelly, who has previously vetoed similar legislation.
