Phillip S. Weberg, 73, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024 peacefully at his granddaughter’s house. He was born to Earl and Mildred Weberg on December 7, 1950.
Phillip studied biology in Arizona then transferred to Manhattan, KS to graduate with a doctorate degree. He used his education to teach multiple courses at Marymount College in Salina. He retired from being a professor to take over his family farm in Bavaria, Ks. He also enjoyed working seasonally at True Value Hardware store.
Phillip spent his spare time flying radio controlled helicopters with his brother, fly fishing, weekly card nights, and playing in a band with his close friends. He also enjoyed visiting the Colorado mountains with his wife Lana, who proceeds him in death. He is also preceeded by his parents, brother Donald, and stepmother Geraldine.
He is survived by his sisters Rev. Evelyn Phillips and Ginny Haggar. As well as his three children, Chuck, Marc, and Stephanie. He loved all of his six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and his great-great grandson.
Visitation will be held between 4-8 pm on Thursday, May 16, at Ryan Mortuary in Salina. A funeral service will be 2 pm, at Ryan Mortuary, Friday, May 17. A reception for family and friends will follow the service at the Temple. Phillip will be buried alongside Lana at Bavaria Cemetery in Bavaria, KS.
