Joseph “Joe” John Tursa, 75, passed away on May 31, 2024 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, KS.
Joe was born on November 01, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to parents Robert and Patricia (Hogan) Pickett.
Joe served in the Army as an Army Specialist.
Joseph retired from highway construction.
He married Diana (Letourneau) on March 26, 1994 in Fort Riley, Kansas.
In his younger years he enjoyed playing pool and darts. As he got older he enjoyed hanging out with his friends at the gas station playing Keno. He liked grilling and cooking for friends and family, making rocking chairs for anyone you wanted one. But he especially loved to spend time with his grandkids and great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Joseph is survived by his wife Diana Mae Tursa (Letourneau); Son: Joey Achterberg and spouse Natasha; Step-Son: Rodney Patten, Step-Daughter: Jennifer Mark and spouse John; Brother-in-Law Daniel Letourneau, Sister-in-Law: Judy Rittgers and spouse Harlan, Grandchildren 6; Great-Granddaughter: 1.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM both in the Roselawn Memorial Heights Chapel; 1920 E. Crawford, Salina, Kansas 67401 with Josh Kilsch officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Salina, KS.
