In an effort to offer more cultural experiences to the campus and community, Kansas State University Salina’s Multicultural Student Union will be hosting a Diversity High Tea that will feature a question and answer forum with the cast of “Clybourne Park” from Salina Community Theatre. The presentation, led by Community Access Television’s Marnie Rhein, will be held Monday, Jan. 26 at 2:30 p.m. in K-State Salina’s College Center Conference Room.

“Clybourne Park,” a Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play, sheds light on the evolution of diversity and race relations in the 1950’s and present day. During the Diversity High Tea, the show’s performers will speak about their experience with getting into character and their personal reaction to the storyline. The Multicultural Student Union also hopes the dialogue can bring insight to the ethnic divisions making headlines today.

The event is free to the public and tea and refreshments will be served as part of the program.

The Multicultural Student Union is a student club at K-State Salina that is committed to the development of a culturally inclusive campus and supportive environment by offering an understanding, respect and awareness of diversity for the university. K-State Salina is the sponsor of “Clybourne Park” which will run February 13-28 at the Salina Community Theatre.
