The death of a Kansas prison inmate is under investigation.

Thirty-three-year-old Sean Evan Thomas Bad Bear was found unresponsive in his cell at the federal prison in Leavenworth on Monday evening.

Bad Bear was serving a 10-month sentence for assault and strangling an intimate partner as well as crime on a reservation.
