Ivan Weaver Lobban, 96, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Sunday, August 11th, at Reflections Retirement Resort, in Salina.
Ivan was born in Clovis, New Mexico on August 24, 1927, a son of Anna Mabelle (Simpson) and Zora Verne Lobban.
He attended McPherson College for 2 years, graduated from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia and served in the United States Army.
Ivan was a Postal Clerk for 25 years, worked at Vulcan Metals for 3 years and SG Diesel for 8 years. He was a hospice volunteer for 17 years, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for over 13 years, and was an avid blood donor, giving over 33 gallons.
On April 9, 1954, Ivan married Adelphia “Delphie” Borgstrom in Windom, Kansas
Survivors include his sons, Laine Lobban (Leslie) of Monument, Colorado, Lance Lobban of Norman, Oklahoma; and daughters, Ann Newcomer (Dave) of Salina, Kansas, Lindi Fahrenthold (Scott) of Solomon, Kansas, and Leesa Krehbiel (David) of Ooltewah, Tennessee;
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ben Lobban, Carolyn Sepulveda (Tyler), Kirk Lobban, Sarah Brower (Drew), Hannah Lobban, Mia Lobban (Ronnie), Nara Newcomer, Jenna Seidel (James), Russ Newcomer (Diane), Rachel Eufinger (Myles), Hannah Petkof (Peter), Jessica Fahrenthold, Katrina Fahrenthold, Andy Krehbiel (Megan), Amanda Nadri (Souheil); and great grandchildren, Preston, Tatum, Solana, Enoch, John, Wyatt, and 3 on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leslie Lobban, Leonard Lobban, Elton Lobban; and sister, Ila Verne Stull.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16th, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm with family receiving friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 17th at Andover Lutheran Church, 117 Dakota Rd, Windom, Kansas, with Pastor Anna Borders officiating. Burial will follow at Andover Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Andover Lutheran Church of Windom, Reflections Retirement Resort, or Interim Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
