Wilma Lea Mosby departed from this world and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus Christ on October 24, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born on November 15,1946 in Council Grove KS to James and Velma (Campbell) Davis.
Wilma’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving mother to Tony, Mickey, Jerry and Christina. In addition to being a loving mother, Wilma also loved serving at the church, fishing, watching her KC Chiefs football and KU basketball games. Throughout her entire life she held an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ which she shared with those who surrounded her. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she has touched and we will hold her close in our hearts and remember the light and love she brought into this world.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, James and Velma, her brother, James Davis Jr, and sister Phoebe Hamilton. She is survived by her life partner, Darrell Hyman. Her four children, Mickey (Shelly) Davis, Jerry Forbes, Christina (Jeff) Martinez and James Davis Satterfield; fifteen grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren. Her sisters, Gloria Evans, Juanita Oaks, and Joyce Whittaker.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 2 at Peter’s Rock Ministries, 256 South 8th, Salina KS.
