James Dale Lindblad

James Dale Lindblad, 85, of Assaria, Kansas passed away November 21, 2024. Born on January 23, 1939, Jim dedicated his life to the land as a proud Kansas farmer, a vocation that reflected his love for community and family.

Jim leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Sarah (Toburen) Lindblad and their daughter Jenny Casey, son-in-law Tom, and grandsons Caleb and Josh. He is also survived by his sisters, Dodie Turnquist and Shirley Trimble, brother-in-law David, and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Arnold and Bernice (Hanson) Lindblad, and his son, Jason Lindblad.

Jim held deep roots in the community, and he was a symbol of hard work and commitment. He was a respected leader at Assaria Lutheran Church, where he was baptized, confirmed, and held several leadership positions throughout his life. Jim was known for his exceptional memory, often recounting detailed histories of his family and community, and he was always ready to lend a quiet hand in times of need. Jim’s leadership, wisdom, humor and ornery nature will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.

A service to honor his life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 7th, at Assaria Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Assaria Lutheran Church or Shriners Hospital for Children.
