Forrest “Rob” Koob, 61, left this world to be with his lord and savior on Monday, December 2, 2024. He was born in Oklahoma City on August 18, 1963. Forrest loved NASCAR and dirt track racing, at one time owning his own race car. He loved shooting pool and was a part owner and operator of R&R Karaoke in Hutchinson, KS. He loved to sing and encouraged others to join in.
Forrest was a member of Heartland Worship Center and for a while worked on their sound system. For most of his life, Forrest was an over the road trucker and loved traveling the county. Until health issues sent him into early retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jan and Albert Koob Jr. of Wichita, KS. Forrest is survived by his brothers, Shannon Koob and wife Kim, and Tim Koob all of Wichita; two sons, Devin Osborne and wife Kassidy of Kanopolis, KS, and Randall (Scott) Osborne and wife of Oklahoma. He is leaving behind 9 grandchildren, aunts, uncles and many dearly loved cousins, ex-wife and best friend, Kathlyn Koob of Salina and his beloved cat Oliver.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Heartland Worship Center, Salina. Memorials may be made to the Heartland Worship Center.
