Wind gusting in excess of 80 miles per hour caused visibility issues, multiple crashes, and road closures across Kansas.
The Kansas Department of Transportation closed multiple roads and highways Friday afternoon into Friday evening, including I-70 between Wakeeney and Goodland. Motorists awere advised to delay non-essential travel until conditions improved.
There were also wildfires in several counties, including among others Cowley and McPherson. The Dickinson County task force responded to to Wabaunsee county on a fire a fighting mission.
