Alice Faye Morris, 84, of Salina, KS passed into eternity on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, with her daughter and son at her side, and surrounded by the smiling faces of her family in photos. Faye was the daughter of Olen Eugene and Alice Pearl Keithly of Nevada, MO, and the wife of Donald Eugene Morris.
Faye’s life was characterized by a quiet, but deep faith in her Creator and an unwavering and joyful commitment to her family. Her faith was not typically one of grand gestures, but rather a calm and steadfast awareness of the presence of God in her everyday life.
After spending her children’s elementary school years as a stay-at-home mom, Faye embarked on a career in human resources, during which time she also completed her college degree, but her most impactful investments in life were always with her family and friends.
Faye was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Of these, perhaps her most cherished role was that of grandmother. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life, each bringing a unique sense of joy and pride to her. She delighted in their laughter and was curious about each of their individual interests. She celebrated with them in times of joy and encouraged them in times of difficulty.
Family and friends alike were drawn to Faye’s warm smile, gentle spirit, and joyous laughter. She was a trusted confidante and a faithful voice of wisdom and support to many. Whether in her home or simply in her presence, Faye was a quiet source of strength where one could find ready encouragement and understanding.
She would not want to be remembered in sadness, but rather in gratitude for the richness of so many years of joyous laughter and love together.
Faye’s survivors include her daughter, Pam Tate of Overland Park; son, Jeff (Kathy) Morris of Wichita; sister, Marty Jenner of Salina; ten grandchildren: Brandon Morris-Lee, Bryce (Sarah) Lee, Parker (Hope) Morris, Emily (Jeff) Hoffman, Will Morris, Carson Tate, Caleb (Sabrina) Morris, Caedon Tate, Annie Morris, and Emberlyn Tate; and three great grandchildren: Sophie, Sadie, and Braydon Lee.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday April 10, at Sunrise Presbyterian Church in Salina.
Memorial contributions in Faye’s honor are to Interim HealthCare of Salina or Sunrise Presbyterian Church.
