A Herington man is transported to the hospital after a rollover crash.

According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Caden Staatz was driving westbound on Kansas Highway- 4 early Thursday morning and swerved to miss a deer that darted out onto the road.

Staatz’s 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix left the highway and rolled once, coming to rest on its wheels.

Deputies say he was wearing his seatbelt and complained of a headache before EMS transported him to Salina Regional Health Center.

The accident occurred at 1am about a half mile east of Holmes Road.
