A Concordia man leads Salina Police on a car chase Sunday afternoon.

Captain Chris Trocheck tells KSAL News that an officer on patrol pulled up behind a car with illegal tags and was walking up to talk with the driver when the car sped away from the curb.

The pursuit that began at 1:55pm at 4th and Mulberry ended a few minutes later at the intersection of Johnstown and Columbia.

Police say 34-year-old Tyler Kuhn led police through a mini storage lot before his vehicle struck some concrete blocks and went airborne, then through a yard before crossing Iron Ave. and over to Johnstown.

Kuhn is now facing charges of reckless driving, attempting to elude the police and vehicle registration violation.
