Two inmates at the Saline County Jail are now facing additional charges after two unrelated incidents this week.
According to Lt. Mike Smith with the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, a male inmate verbally threatened a corrections officer on Tuesday evening while being served dinner.
Smith says the inmate then drenched the officer with a cup of orange juice.
On Wednesday afternoon four corrections officers were moving an inmate into a new cell when he threw a cup of urine at the officers, hitting all four.
Both inmates are facing new charges of battery against a law enforcement officer.
Names of the inmates and jail staff were not released.
