No one was hurt in a fire that destroyed a vacant mobile home in west Salina Saturday night.
Authorities tell KSAL News that first responders were called at around 8:00 to the reportĀ of a mobile home on fire in the 1200 Block of W. Crawford Street. Heavy smoke and flames were visible when the the first crews arrived.
Firefighters were able to quickly get the fire quickly under control, and were able to keep it from spreading.
Investigators late Saturday night were working to determine a cause.
The fire was the second one in Salina within the span of several days to destroy a mobile home. On Wednesday a fire destroyed a mobile home on N. 13th Street. That fire spread to two other homes as well. It destroyed one of the other homes, and damaged one of them. A 3-year-old boy was killed in that fire, and two siblings and his grandmother were hurt.
