A 9-year-old child was hurt in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Ellsworth County Saturday afternoon.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2013 Toyota truck driven by 44-year-old Matthew Blaine Harting from Olathe, Kansas, was headed west, in the right hand lane. For an unknown reason the truck gradually left the road, and hit a culvert.
9-year-old Grayson Harting, a passenger in the truck, was injured. He was transported to the hospital in Ellsworth.
The drive Blaine Harting, a 39-year-old passenger, and two 6-year-old passengers were not hurt.
The patrol say that everyone was buckled up.
The crash happened just before noon on Saturday, on Interstate 70 near 12th Road in Ellsworth County.
