An Ellsworth man is cited for leaving the scene of the accident on I-135 early Wednesday morning.

A semi truck driver contacted authorities after being struck from behind near mile post 78 around 6:05am Wednesday.

According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Corey D. Hill struck the truck from behind with his Chevy Suburban, then briefly pulled over before driving on.

Hill was found sitting in his vehicle 4 miles north of the scene of the accident and was taken into custody.

Deputies say he was taken to the hospital for evaluation and was booked into jail on charges that include DUI, leaving an accident and following too close.
