A Salina man was taken into custody after a disturbance at a home led to allegations of indecent liberties.

According to Captain Chirs Trocheck with Salina Police, 31-year-old Juan Carlos Cruz-Vergara was arrested on Sunday evening after officers were called to a home in north Salina.

Police say the mother of a 12-year-old girl discovered that Cruz-Vergara had allegedly touched her daughter in an improper way.

Cruz-Vergara is now facing charges that could include aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

Police say the victim and suspect are acquainted.
