Three small earthquakes shook parts of north central Kansas late Thursday night into early Friday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, there were three earthquakes north of Ellis within about a three hour span, beginning at 9:58 PM. The following earthquakes were reported:
- 3.3 magnitude 9.3 miles north of Ellis
- 3.1 magnitude 8 miles north of Ellis
- 2.6 magnitude 4.3 miles north of Ellis
The three earthquakes come about 48 hours after a 3.5 magnitude quake shook the same area. That quake was recorded early Wednesday morning.
Wednesday night a small earthquake was recorded in Saline County, centered 13.7 miles east / northeast of Lindsborg.
No damage or injuries have been reported.
